China Taylor
About Me
China Taylor was raised in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She attended Lake Brantley High School. China Taylor was mentioned in 2007 as one of the Central Florida kids popping up in the "SpongeBob" marathon, but she has been pretty busy since then. She created a Buzz with Lake Brantley High School's "shining a spotlight" on her as one of "the new batch of soon to be celebrities" that have walked the halls of their School. Some of the well known celebrities that have walked the halls of Lake Brantley High School include: Drew Seely, Mandy Moore, and the front man Rob Thomas from the band Match Box Twenty.
China Taylor is an American actress, model and dancer. She is the great-granddaughter of Golden Gate (Jubilee) Quartet's second tenor, Henry Owens. She was four years old when she appeared in the commercial for Eatonville's Fire Station. At eleven years old, she was a supporting actress and featured dancer in the play "I Am Not Forgotten"; that was written and directed by Nancy Sample. For five years China was a member of Duvall Dance Academy's Company Team, performing in ballet, jazz and tap routines. She is technically trained in ballet, jazz and tap, but is no stranger to the art of freestyle and improv. Her training started out with her teachers at Duvall Dance Academy and quickly begin to branch out to numerous dance conventions with various master choreographers.
She has won numerous scholarships and awards in dance that includes: several Scholarships from The Pulse, she Toured with The Pulse On Tour as their 2012-2013 Top Advanced Elite Protege, she was a three-time Regional Outstanding Dancer/ Tap Scholarship/ and two time Triple Threat at NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance), a three-time Regional Elite Dancer at West Coast Dance Explosion, a two time Regional VIP at Jump, Regional Breakout Artist at NUVO and the two time Miss Teen at Cathey Roe Ultimate Dance. She continues to be a member of Willdabeast Adams immaBeast Company. Her specialty is versatility.
China managed to juggle school while pursuing her dream of dance and entertaining. She danced in a few videos with Zendaya to include Zendaya's first television music video “Dig Down Deeper” as well as on Zendaya’s Z-Swagg Tour. She booked Lady Gaga’s Artrave/ArtPOP Ball World Tour at 17 years old while still finishing up high school. She was home less than a month when she booked the Chris Brown and Trey Songz Between the Sheets Tour as one of Trey Songz dancers. She was happy to be one of the dancers dancing with the cast of the television series Empire at the Billboard Awards and to also be part of the tribute to Janet Jackson at the BET Awards. She was honored to be included to speak at Willdabeast Adams new dance convention "BuildaBeast Experience 2015" as one of the fresh new young faces working in the dance community. China Taylor has since started her journey of dancing as one of the JTribe dancers on the Unbreakable World Tour alongside Janet Jackson. She is currently living her dream and enjoying her journey.
China Taylor thanks her many patient dance teachers and choreographers, to include Duvall Dance Academy and Lisa Maile School, for what she has accomplished so far.
